In an article by Mike Reyes on Cinema Blend, he argues there are "6 Reasons Disney Needs to Resurrect John Carter" http://www.cinemablend.com/new/6-Reasons-Disney-Needs-Resurrect-John-Carter-Franchise-43550.html While Mr. Reyes attempts to make a good defense for this, sadly most of it reads like a Back to Barsoom Manifesto, repeating the same issues (like the poor marketing without blaming Andrew Stanton's "keep it vague" mantra and rejection of most of the marketing ideas) and defenses they roll out. I also get the feeling Mr. Reyes is another writer who never read the books and believes Stanton and company should get another shot at trashing Edgar Rice Burroughs. Oh well, just set aside some time to read it and leave any comments-pro and against-below.
